Early Life and Background
Panganai Java was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, to the late Charles Java and the late Christine Rambanepasi Java. His mother was a former senator for Buhera representing the MDC Alliance. He grew up in Chitungwiza and attended Seke 2 High School. He is originally from Java Village in Buhera Central.
Religious Ministry
Java began his involvement in Christian ministry at Tabernacles of Grace Ministries, a church linked to his brother, Apostle Batsirai Java. In 2010, he launched inter-denominational services at the Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex, which led to the establishment of his own church, Kingdom Embassy. The ministry was later renamed Passion Java Ministries.
- Kingdom TV: In 2013, Java launched Kingdom TV, a satellite television channel operated via UK-based telecommunications firm ViewSat Limited. The channel eventually ceased operations due to unpaid service fees.
- Global Outreach & Crusades: Java has preached internationally and traveled across numerous countries. In May 2024, he hosted the "Night of Wonders" crusade at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
- Public Theological Exchanges: In March 2025, Java was involved in a public debate with Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa after countering Makandiwa's monetary challenge regarding spiritual healing abilities.
Music Industry and Media
In 2014, Java established a music label called Passion Java Records (initially operating as PJ Records), offering free recording services to local gospel artists.
Beginning in 2018, he expanded into Zimdancehall music promotion. Through his record label, he signed and sponsored prominent Zimbabwean artists—including Enzo Ishall, Soul Jah Love, Buffalo Souljah, Jah Master, and Roki. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Java launched the Gara Mumba Iwe live-streamed series, providing a virtual platform for local musicians to perform during lockdowns.
Political and Business Activities
Java is the Vice President of the Affirmative Action Group (AAG), an empowerment and business association in Zimbabwe.
- Political Support: Java is an active supporter of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the ruling ZANU PF party. He campaigned openly for Mnangagwa ahead of the 2023 general election.

Personal Life
Java has been married twice:
- Yasmin Java: The couple married in the early 2010s and had one son, Uebert. They divorced in late 2015.
- Lily Tsegaye: Java married Ethiopian-born Lily Tsegaye in February 2016 in Jamaica after meeting at a conference in Baltimore, USA. They have three sons together. In February 2026, both Java and Tsegaye issued individual statements confirming that their marriage had been legally dissolved.
